How the Process Works

The Initial Visit…During our first in-home visit we will discuss your project ideas and make suggestions based upon the design and layout of your home. After the consultation, we will take our notes, measurements and photos to review the scope of your proposed renovation. At this point, we will do a layout sketch, a preliminary scope of work and a preliminary cost estimate. This will allow us to accurately work with you on the design, scope and budget until you are satisfied with the results.

Design Fee Option…For the more involved projects, you may require our design services. In such instances, we will provide ¼ inch scale drawings showing the project and its impact on your home. Fees for the design service will vary depending upon the size and scope of the project.

Second Visit…At the initial in-home visit, we set an appointment to meet with you again to review the scope of the work and the estimated cost to complete. At this meeting, we will review the detailed scope of work and answer any questions that you may have about the proposal and note any changes you may request.

Final Proposal…Once we have incorporated any changes that you have requested, we will present the final proposal for your acceptance. After we receive the signed contract and initial deposit, we begin preparations for the construction phase, including detailed drawings that are required to obtain necessary building permits.

Product Selections…Next, we invite you to meet with us in our supplier’s design showroom to assist with product selection. We will help you choose products that fit within your budget and complement your design. Or if you choose, we can suggest several locations in the DFW Metroplex, where you can shop for products at your convenience.

The Project Management Team…Now that you have chosen M. Christopher and Company as your design/build entity, we will plan your project so that it flows smoothly. We will manage and oversee your renovations through its completion and to your satisfaction. We are always available for questions or concerns.

Our Craftsmen…Throughout your project, our team of skilled craftsmen will work diligently to complete your renovation in a timely manner while respecting you and your home.
